Point Loads Are the Real Question, Not Total Weight

Where a caravan differs from a car is not how much it weighs but where it concentrates it. The Sub-Base Is Doing the Actual Carrying

Here is the part that reframes the whole question. The resin layer is a wearing course, roughly 18mm of stone and binder whose job is to give you a smooth, bound, free-draining surface. It does not carry your motorhome. The compacted stone beneath it does, exactly as the tarmac on the A158 relies on the road foundation underneath rather than the black top you can see.

That means the caravan question is settled years before the caravan arrives, on the day the ground was dug out.
